Privacy Policy

We use the information we collect to: create and manage your owner account; verify your identity and vehicle documents (KYC); process bookings, payouts, and commission; send booking notifications, payout confirmations, and support messages; personalise your dashboard and listing recommendations; improve our platform through analytics; comply with legal obligations under Nepal law (Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act, 2049 and related regulations); and prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.

With Renters

When a booking is confirmed, we share your listing details, vehicle location, and contact instructions with the renter so they can complete the pick-up. We do not share your bank or payout details with renters.

With Service Providers

We engage trusted third-party providers for payment processing, cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These partners are contractually bound to use your data only to deliver services on our behalf.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by a court order, government authority, or applicable Nepalese law, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

Business Transfers

If Travel Nest Nepal merges with or is acquired by another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

We retain your personal and vehicle data for as long as your owner account is active, plus an additional period required by law or legitimate business need (typically 5 years for financial and payout records). KYC and insurance documents are stored for the period mandated by Nepalese regulations and then securely deleted. You may request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 7.

We implement industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive data, access controls limited to authorised personnel, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your information to the best of our ability.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and analyse traffic on your dashboard. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

You have the right to: access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention obligations for financial records); object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@travelnest.com.np. We will respond within 30 days.

Travel Nest Nepal is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
